Local Mensa Testing Schedule

July is "buy one test, get another free" month. So, if you invite a friend to test, your friend tests for free. If you convince your friend to pay, your test is free! :-)

Local Mensa Testing Sessions have been scheduled for May. Regular testing sessions typically take 75-90 minutes. Culturally-Fair tests are untimed.

Currently Scheduled Dates and Times for Regular Testing sessions are:

  • 10 May (Sat.) from 11-12:30 PM, Arlington, VA (Metro accessible)
  • 24 May (Sat.) from 11-12:30 PM, Arlington, VA (Metro accessible)

A Culturally-Fair (only) Testing session will be held:

  • 10 May (Sat.) from 1-3 PM, Arlington, VA (Metro accessible)
  • 24 May (Sat.) from 1-3 PM, Arlington, VA (Metro accessible)
Contact the Testing Coordinator if you are interested.

If any of the dates offered do not fit your schedule, local proctors may be available for group sessions at your office, school, or organization meeting place. Ask the Testing Coordinator for more information.

MARYLAND -- Tests may be arranged in Maryland on Friday evenings at 5pm or Saturdays at 10am if there is sufficient demand.

Regular Mensa admissions tests last two hours and cost $40. Reservations are required. This test is open to anyone age 14 and older, and parental permission is required for anyone age 14-17. Contact Testing Coordinator Molyneau DuBelle for more information, or visit American Mensa's Admissions Test page. To register for a testing session, please email the following info about each person to be tested:

  • Full Name
  • Age
  • Preferred test type (regular or culturally-fair)
  • Preferred location and session (Reston sessions TBA)
  • Confirmation they've never taken Mensa tests before

Note: Candidates working with the media (e.g., television, radio, print, etc.) do not have to pay the $40 national testing fee. Simply bring proof in the form of a press photo ID card (and a copy of your ID) or a letter from your employer when you attend testing.
